NoMad Stakes Its Claim as Manhattan’s Rising Luxury Address

NoMad has emerged into one of Manhattan's most sought after residential neighborhoods transformed from a primarily commercial area. Situated just north of picturesque Madison Square Park, it feels more Downtown than Midtown South with the arrival of trendy hotels, luxury brand retailers, pre-war loft style condo conversions, as well as several noted new development luxury condo buildings. Danny Meyer, the restaurateur, opened his first Shake Shack in Madison Square Park back in 2001. Amazon's founder, Jeff Bezos, maintains a NYC residence in the coveted 212 Fifth Avenue, a luxury pre-war building directly facing the park.
